Oath Home

OATH stands for Offcuts Assisting The Homeless

We divert unused, end-of-project fabric from landfill or the incinerator.

We design and create new pieces to give this fabric use and purpose.

We donate profits to charity.

Our motto is:

Take something unwanted | Create something beautiful | Do something good.

Take something unwanted

All our fabric is unused, end-of-project fabric that was destined to go to landfill or the incinerator if we were not able to take it on board. Our fabric is donated to us by a broad range of companies who have finished current projects and need to reset before the next one begins. From 5-star hotels, interior design projects, and curtain manufacturers, to costume departments based at television, film, and network production studios. In the past, the standard practice is to dispose of or incinerate any leftovers (even if they are unused), in order to make room for new resources.

Create something beautiful

We design according to that fabric that arrives in the studio. That’s why we have a broad range of products available. We design and create our pieces in-house. Each one hand made in the studio or by our small group of craftspeople, who receive at least the living wage for the time they are creating for us. Our prices are based on the cost involved to fairly and sustainably make each item.

Do something good

Since our fabric is donated to us, it only seems fair that we donate some of the money that we receive to a worthy cause. We are partnered with Step-by-Step. A charity working with young people to break the cycle of youth homelessness. We have declared ourselves not-for-profit. But, until our small business makes a clear and substantial profit, we guarantee that 20% of the retail price of each item goes to the charity.

Profits are donated to Step-by-Step
